White wine from France, Southern Rhône - Vintage 2020
Since the end of the 18th century, the Bastide Saint-Vincent has been a family property. It has a 23 hectare vineyard, very fragmented allowing to offer Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Côtes du Rhône and Vin de Pays de Vaucluse .
Called "Rolle" in Provence, Vermentino is a very old grape variety that has conquered the Mediterranean coasts, in particular Corsica and Sardinia.
The average age of the grape varieties is over 40 years. The quality of the wines is good due to the low yield. The harvests are manual and allow a rigorous sorting of the bunches. The vinification is traditionally carried out in enamelled concrete vats and the vatting lasts about 2 weeks. The grapes are destemmed, lightly crushed.
This white wine, Bastide Saint-Vincent Vermentino is fresh and delicate. Its color is pale yellow, clear and limpid. On the nose, it is fine and complex, associating floral notes among which we find hawthorn, linden and lily of the valley as well as aromatic and fruity plants. This olfactory palette is confirmed in the mouth by iodized flavors.
The grape variety is from the South. This white wine never lacks refinement. It will go perfectly with seafood, raw vegetables and Corsican cheeses.
