South of the Rhône, a stone's throw from the villages of Gigondas and Vacqueyras , is the hamlet of Violès. Here is located the Domaine Bastide Saint-Vincent , the cellar of the Daniel family. Laurent Daniel transforms the three best grape varieties of the Rhône - Grenache Syrah and Mourvèdre - into a powerful red wine.
With the fruitiness of Grenache and the almost peppery spiciness of the other two grape varieties. The winemaker Laurent Daniel therefore produces this beautiful Côtes du Rhône from grapes of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre planted on clay-limestone soil.
The grapes are picked by hand and fermented at low temperature. For Laurent, there is more when harvesting conditions are far from ideal. First of all, a very low yield of ripe, healthy grapes. Then, a short extraction time and the absence of oak maturation.
This gives this deep red colored wine an exuberant aroma of ripe red fruit with hints of pepper and other spices. The round and supple taste has a refined spiciness on the finish.
Fermentation at low temperature ensures optimal expression of the fruit and a soft tannin. A delicious red wine to serve with a rack of lamb, ratatouille or spicy roast pork. Ready to drink now, can be stored until the end of 2023.
