Chinon - Les Reliefs - Organic Red wine
Red wine from France, Chinon appellation, Organic, Loire Region
Red wine from France, Chinon appellation, Organic, Loire Region
The name of this appellation comes from the village of Chinon ; its history dates back to the depths of the Gallo-Roman era. Like the Loire Valley and the many châteaux that punctuate this region for so long as Royal, the Chinon appellation produces refined & elegant wines. The Chinon vineyard is located around the town of Chinon including the two banks of the Vienne and up to the confluence of the Loire.
The Chinon wine is produced mainly with a single grape variety, Cabernet Franc. 10% maximum of Cabernet sauvignon allowed in the blend.
François –Xavier Barc & Claude Vallée are passionate winegrowers respectful of the environment, the vineyards are all in sustainable agriculture, certified organic.
Chinon and a large part of its vineyard are classified as a Unesco heritage. A legitimate recognition that encourages discovery, the Chinon vineyard is tamed by crisscrossing the countryside, climbing the slopes wandering in the plains or on the banks of the Vienne.
Pleasure and Quality are the key words, a demanding selection of plots, reasoned cultivation of the vines, winemaking to make us discover all the authenticity of the Loire region.
