Nicolas Vellas' Grand Frisson Gewurztraminer Vendange d'automne 2017 is a white wine with a Protected Geographical Indication. This distinction is a guarantee of quality because it certifies that your wine has been controlled and comes from a delimited terroir. This 2017 vintage is made from the gewurztraminer grape variety (rare in Languedoc!) planted on rolled pebbles. The latters have the advantage of participating in an excellent ripening.
The Grand Frisson Gewurztraminer Vendange d'automne 2017 has undergone destemming to eliminate bitter notes, a short skin maceration and low temperature buckling.
Particularly appreciated in Alsace wines, the gewurztraminer of this vintage provokes an aromatic nose with notes of lychees and roses and a pale yellow colour with golden reflections. It is a pure wonder that offers a sweet, fruity, light and mellow mouth. It should be served at a temperature between 10 and 12°C and can be enjoyed as an aperitif, accompanying Asian or sweet and savoury cuisine. It also blends very well with strong cheeses or desserts.
So you ready for the big thrill? Discover this wine from a family-owned vineyard which for sure will create a pleasant experience.
