Jardins Secrets - Les Cerisiers - Pinot Noir - Red Wine
French red wine, Pinot Noir, PGI Pays d'Oc
French red wine, Pinot Noir, PGI Pays d'Oc
Jardins Secrets Les Cerisiers 2016 is a pinot noir with a Pays d'Oc protected geographical indication. It has a rather modern style and develops on the nose many notes of red fruits such as black cherry, for example. Woody notes are also very discreet and join the sensation of recognising a hint of vanilla. Pinot noir is a grape variety that is not very tannic but which, here, will be able to reveal all the typicity of the Languedoc terroir. The vines were grown on a cool area (because of the exposure) and the grapes were picked at optimum ripeness. They were then vinified in the traditional way with perfect temperature control and a long vatting period. The wine was matured in 400-litre barrels.
Jardins Secrets Les Cerisiers 2016 offers a beautiful attack on the palate including a high maturity of the fruit. One also guesses the freshness of raspberries and subtle flavours of morello cherries and spices linger on the finish. The texture is well rounded with generous fruit but it is mainly a wine that also offers a certain harmony and complexity.
This pinot noir is best enjoyed at 17° C with a convivial and relaxed cuisine. It can be at the centre of your dinner aperitifs.
