Red wine from France, PGI Pays d'Oc
Mas du Pont Vignes d'Antan is a red wine from a vineyard that bears its name. For its production, the grapes have benefited from a clayey limestone soil covered with pebbles and a south-east exposure, which allows a beautiful maturity. The vines benefit from an estate covering 50 hectares including woods and pastures. The Cabernet Sauvignon and the Merlot were both vinified separately but always according to the traditional winemaking method including temperature control and yeast selection.
Mas du Pont Vignes d'Antan offers a complex nose of blackcurrants, violets and blackberries evolving towards cocoa aromas. Its beautiful deep and brilliant red colour invites tasting. Ideally, it should be served at a temperature between 16 and 18°C. The attack on the palate is well balanced and ends with great persistence. It is fruity, fleshy and powerful at the same time.
This red wine is the work of Vignobles Vellas and is the perfect accompaniment to your family meals or with friends. It goes very well with dishes composed of grilled red meats, duck breasts or duck confit. It can also be eaten with a hors d'oeuvre such as cooked or soft cheese, for example.
