SPECIAL FEATURES:
The result of a close collaboration between the Maison Barrière and Château Beychevelle, Grand Bateau was born in the 1980s. The boat adorning the label is reminiscent of the mythical drakkar of the prestigious Château BEYCHEVELLE, a sister company of Maison Barrière.
Developed by our oenologist from the best batches selected from our partner properties, Grand Bateau embodies the nobility of the great Bordeaux wines.
Philippe Blanc, Director of Château Beychevelle, gives us his precious support for the final blend of Grand Bateau.
Impeccable and consistent quality, unique style combining in a beautiful complexity, the beauty of the fruit, and sweet vanilla notes, Grand Bateau is shaped to appeal to both young consumers and discerning connoisseurs.
GRAPE VARIETIES: 100% Sauvignon
WINEMAKING & AGEING:
Grand Bateau is carefully vinified combining traditional know-how and modern techniques. The final blend, which combines wines aged in oak barrels and others more classically, aged in vats, gives the wine an irresistible sap and fragrance.
The nose is delicate, distilling aromas of vanilla and exotic fruits. On the palate, the wine is full and of remarkable minerality. The harmony between fruit, acidity and woody touches is perfect.
