White Wine of France, AOC Pouilly-Fuissé
Pouilly Fuissé Les Plessys is a white wine from Burgundy which bears the Pouilly Fuissé designation of origin. Peaking at an altitude of 500 meters, the vines are cultivated from the top of the Solutré rock. Chardonnay is the only grape variety making up this charming and complex white wine. The harvest was done manually, the fermentation was done at low temperature and with a batonnage. The vinification was carried out partially in barrels and the aging lasted 15 months on fine lees.
This Pouilly Fuissé Les Plessys presents to the eye a golden robe with green reflections. On the nose combine aromas of apples and grapefruit before giving way to an elegant touch of cinnamon on a background of toasted bread. On the palate, the vanilla and citrus notes stand out for their finesse and precede a toasted finish.
In the kitchen, this 100% Chardonnay white wine goes well with dishes such as seafood platters, pan-fried scallops, a cod back or a grilled lobster. It can be tasted immediately or keep for 5 to 10 years to extend its aromatic palette .
