4 generations ago, the family history of Vellas vineyards began in the heart of the Languedoc appellations. The Domaine du Mas du Pont is the main family property and represents the center of activities around the vine, wine, gastronomy and bull. It is a place of culture and traditions.

This family of vineyards is located in the towns of Teyran and Crès, near Montpellier. It has always maintained a close relationship with the agricultural professions. It has a farm of more than 1000 hectares of cereals, olive trees and pastures, a breeding of 1200 Camargue bulls and horses and a 200 hectare vineyard . Moreover, the majority of its vineyards are organic farming to respect the land and the environment.

This cinsault, picked at good maturity, comes from clay-limestone hillsides covered with rolled pebbles, meticulous selection and aging.

Low yield, sharp vinification and great temperature control give the latter this ruby ​​and brilliant color . A nose with aromas of red fruits and black fruits (cherry, blueberry, crushed raspberry…). It will masterfully accompany a lamb tagine, after one to two hours in the carafe.
