Red wine from France, PDO Corbières, Nicolas Vellas, 2017
Double OAK is a Corbières with traditional vinification of the three Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan grape varieties and carbonic on Syrah offers a powerful and noble wine. Then the winemaker goes through aging in oak barrels for 24 months.
On tasting, we discover a pretty deep robe with dark reflections. First intense nose very marked by small ripe black and red fruits. Next come more roasted, slightly vanilla and spicy notes.
On the palate, the attack is silky with which the ripe black fruits return. The mouth is voluminous with tannins present but well melted. Rich, harmonious and well balanced whole.
This magnificent Corbières will go perfectly with your hot tapas, beef ribs, grilled red meats and hard cheeses.
