Red wine from France, Bordeaux region - Haut-Médoc - 3rd Grand Cru Classified - 2017 vintage
Château La Lagune 2017 is a red wine classified 3rd Grand Cru of Bordeaux which brings together the emblematic grape varieties of Haut-Medoc: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Situated on a soil consisting of gravelly hilltops, the vineyard covers 80 hectares. Thanks to the will of the owner, the vines are cultivated in an environmentally friendly way by combining the principles of organic farming and biodynamic agriculture. This 2011 vintage is one of the last before conversion but, rest assured, the grapes have been able to draw from the soil all the typicity and finesse of the terroir. For this red wine, the vinification was both patient and precise before maturing in barrels.
Château La Lagune 2011 has a deep ruby red colour. This red wine is a fine example of what Haut-Médoc can offer with its aromatic bouquet of powerful black fruits . On the palate, the tannic structure is structured, but it is also very fine. The finish is freshly long on mentholated notes.
This gastronomic wine is best served at a temperature between 17 and 18°C and has a fairly good ageing potential, if you wish to keep it in the cellar.
