Red wine of France, Bordeaux, PDO Saint-Émilion 2017
Red wine from Bordeaux, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru second wine from Château La Gaffelière, vintage 2017
Clos la Gaffelière 2017 is a red wine whose vines are located in the south of the village of Saint-Emilion whose appellation it holds. The climate is continental and the soil is composed of clayey and sandy gravel. The grape varieties reveal the best of the young vines such as Merlot and Cabernet Franc, both equally associated. The work in the vineyard is identical to that carried out for the first wines. Clos la Gaffelière vintage 2017 is a fresh and fruity pleasurable wine that has enjoyed maturing in barrels for 10 to 12 months.
This red wine of the 2017 vintage is a wine with a medium ageing potential, as it can be cellared for around ten years. It presents a beautiful amplitude in mouth with mineral nuances and blackberry notes. It is a well-balanced Bordeaux wine, round, supple and supported by soft tannins which will not fail to please amateurs as well as the most seasoned.
Clos la Gaffelière vintage 2017 should be served at an ideal temperature between 14 and 16°C and is best served immediately with, for example, scallops or red meat. It is also pleasant as an accompaniment to spicy dishes.
