Red wine from France, Bordeaux region - Haut-Médoc - 3rd Grand Cru Classified - 2017 vintage
Bordeaux red wine, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Second wine of Château Angelus, vintage 2019
Carillon d'Angélus is a red wine born of remarkable climatic conditions. It is a Saint-Emilion which is one of the most generous and greedy vintages of Château Angélus. Thanks to the permanent questioning of their technique and their constant desire to reveal the typicity of their terroir, the owners have been able to make this red wine a success.
Made from a blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc on the Libourne territory, the Carillon d'Angélus 2016 has a very dense colour with purplish tints. On the nose, it knows how to express all its generosity and elegance by revealing a wide aromatic palette ranging from blackberry notes to delicate touches of cedar. Enjoy a beautiful freshness on the palate! The tannic structure is interesting, it seems creamy, suave and offers a long finish. Fruity, the whole will seem restless, precise and sensual.
This red wine vintage 2016 has benefited from sustainable agriculture and has a Saint-Emilion appellation d'origine contrôlée. It is the second wine of Chateau Angelus and was awarded the excellent score of 93/100 by Robert Parker, the American creator of the famous publication The Wine Advocate.
Carillon d'Angélus can be enjoyed immediately, or it can be cellared for an extended period of time to develop its aromas.
