Bordeaux red wine, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation, 2016 vintage
Château Grand Pey Lescours is a red wine advocating the Saint-Emilion appellation, a guarantee of quality and traceability. Once owned by Baroness Arthur de Brezets, Château Grand Pey Lescours was acquired by the Escure family in the 1920s. Since then, the vines situated at the foot of the Saint-Emilion hillsides have been producing a wine considered a Grand Cru. While respecting the principles of organic farming, this 2016 vintage is the result of the combination of three grape varieties: Merlot, Carbernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. It can be tasted immediately or spent in the cellar. Either way, it is advisable to let it decant for one or two hours before serving it at a temperature between 16 and 18°C.
With its red colour with purplish tints, this Château Grand Pey Lescours 2016 will give you a lot of pleasure. Very fragrant, it is adorned with notes of black fruits and undergrowth. In mouth, it is a nice surprise because it is very fine and supple. It will perfectly accompany your red meat dishes (lamb, coq au vin, etc.) but also white meat (duck with orange, for example).
