PRESENTATION :
The name of this appellation could come from the Latin campus Igni or field of fire, because of the particularly hot microclimate of this area in summer. The vineyard of Saumur Champigny is located in the wine region of Anjou - Saumur, its terroir benefits from an oceanic climate.
The wine of Saumur Champigny can only be produced with a salt grape variety Cabernet Franc.
Soil : Clay - Limestone
Vinification : Traditional, matured in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Maceration for a fortnight.
TASTING NOTES :
Colour : Intense purple colour.
Nose : Notes of morello cherries dominate this pretty bottle.
Palate : The fleshy mouth presents silky and elegant tannins, a Saumur Champigny haute couture.
Serving temperature : Cool from 14° to 18° C.
